The Tie That Binds

Amber and Noah are enemies. They can't stand each other but their parent want them to be friends. Noah soon starts going to Amber's school. Will these two get a long or will they just get worst?

 

Chapter 1

        

Amber

“Amber, it’s time to wake up.” My mom said. I sat up and undid my ponytail causing my long brown hair to lie on my back.  “But it’s only 6 in the morning” I replied grumpily. I wasn’t much of a morning person, especially on the weekends!

My mom rubbed her eyes, blinked a couple of times, and said “well the family of your father’s friend is coming to dinner today.” I looked at her, then at the clock, and said “you said tonight, so that means it’s not at 6 o’clock in the morning, which also means I am going back to bed.”  My mom sighed and walked out my room leaving me in peace.

I fell back on my pillow and closed my eyes.  Then suddenly an annoying brat called Jack entered my room interrupting the much needed sleep that I deserved!  “Guess what Amber” he said excitedly, “you’re adopted?” I said in a tired voice, “no, Noah is coming to visit us!” I sighed and threw the cover over my head. Noah was my worst enemy.  I remember the time he threw a piece of cake in my face, and it ruined my hair.  It took 3 hours to get it out!

“How come you’re still in bed anyways,” Jack asked.

“Not everyone can be up as early as you,” I said.

Jack smiled and left. I sighed, “is anyone going to let me sleep in peace?”

Then suddenly my alarm clock rang causing me to fall out my bed. “Okay, that’s it! No one is going to let me sleep in peace! I might as well get dressed and start my day at 6:56 in the morning!” I stood up, walked in the bathroom, washed my face, brushed my teeth, and put my hair in two ponytails.
