Bridge of Hearts

Bridge of Hearts

You bury your feet into the sand

"

You bury your feet into the sand. You feel its warms, its softness where it touches your skin. It feels like his hands running along the sole arch, massaging your toes. The touch is quick and smooth, strong and gentle. The first shy sun rays are also so gentle, peeking over the horizon, announcing the approach of another warm day. You turn your head towards them, squinting under the sharp lines of red. You close your eyes. You see him on the beach too. Walking his dog. Charlie is always so happy, running along the water edge, and throwing glittering splashes of the rising sun all around. He squints, smiling, looking away, somewhere far away, beyond the horizon painted in red.

He smiles.

And you smile too.
