Melding Moments

Melding Moments

A Poem by ljc

Waken to morning’s early greeting

Dawn’s kind moments quickly fleeting

Sunlight swirls laden brushes

Light dapples color on trees and rushes.

We carry life’s tenuous currency

With it fear and greed’s urgency.

Stolid gears and wheels relentless turning

Pouring out concrete rhythms burning

Grasp smoke’s swift and sharp talons

Soaring to summits of the mountains.

Our cares walk with joy and pain,

And on to strength and grace again.

I think this is a great write! the only thing, your rhyming pattern is AA BB CC DD ect. and the last two couplets don't rhyme exactly. you could try 'Soon fading by the gallons' instead of 'Soon fading beyond our mountains'. i like it!

keep up the good work!
