Birds Birds Yes, the Birds Scream

Birds Birds Yes, the Birds Scream

A Poem by Elizabeth Deane

"B eak puncture my liver!"
old trodder yelling
through tubes
from their
grandmothers.

"I m your baby !
I e  a  t
your horrid and
soothe my parching lips
 and their cracks
with teeth,
biting it off if need be."

They're
vomiting.
