Stay

Stay

A Poem by Jesus & Gypsy Soul

Try as I might, I couldn’t convey
The frustration of time, the impossible delay
The cruelness of each lifetime passed
& dull heartache of lovers lost
Years went on & I tried to cherish
A job well done - my friends - my parents
But happiness for me was only paper thin
Replaced with emptiness; I was f*****g hollow within
Beauty, it seems, was only skin deep
For I had no hope
Before you finally came to me.
(Stay.)
