Creativity

It seems I am constantly bombarded with strokes of genius cascading from my brain and rippling outward into every corner of my body, waiting for an outlet.

But, on those rare occasions that my consciousness puts forth an effort to create something out of a blank canvass I am plagued by insignificant mutterings of lack-luster ideas and meaningless thought.

There's something, for lack of a better word, colorful about that last line. It's probably my favorite part of this extremely relatable poem. I like this it makes me smile and also wring my mind for even an ounce of conscious creativity. Though that doesn't produce anything good.. I really like this. I think you've got this poetry thing down packed.

The other day I told my mom how I have a dilemma because when things are going great in my life I'm not compelled to write but am bursting with creativity when things are going horribly.
She told me to pray about it.

It makes sense. Happy feelings are to be enjoyed you express them by enjoying them. Negative feelings need to be released usually through a creative medium. Venting makes you feel better so it's only natural I say.

I think this is really beautiful. It sounds like a random excerpt from a book I haven't yet gotten the pleasure to read. Your writing seems like a very finite, and limited window into your brain. How lovely!
