UglyA Poem by Lizzie MitchellDoes God see anything as "ugly"?
What if everything is beautiful?
What if we took a look through God's eyes and realized ugly is no more than a figment of human culture? What if everything is lovely? What if we discovered crooked teeth are just as good as straight ones and every once in a brown moon we stopped to smell the dandelions? I wish to erase my preconceived notions of others. Perhaps I would never miss a friendship. What if we all sleep in the darkest alleyways of misjudgment, faces stained with the prejudice of others? What if only love can save us? © 2013 Lizzie MitchellAuthor's Note
