Grapes of WrathA Poem by LizLadyNinjaA very dark poem I wrote after my "best" friend betrayed me. I was very angry!
The sun is fading in the sky Thunder claps, you wish me to die Splashed across the landscape, someones blood you've slain But know you are my existance's bain Throw your words, cause the hurt Cast into my eyes, your vengful dirt Fuel the fire, fuel my hate In the end I'll have the clean slate At me you may kick and spit Rub in poison where the snake bit Raindrops fall like crystal tears I try to block out all their leers They leave me broken, battered and limp And I wonder who really has the gimp Pull myself up, and ignore the blood A burning emotion, raging like a flood They caused the pain, and unleshed the beast On the grapes of wrath I'll let it feast Feel the hate as the nectar runs down my throat After all, this is why this poem was wrote Cast your stones and your jeers You know you have the same fears Its you're fault I'm this way And I swear to god I'll make you pay! © 2008 LizLadyNinjaReviews
