A Me Without You

 

Alone together, laying in bed

You leave sweet kisses on my forehead

Listening to your heart as you fall asleep

Its you forever I want to keep

 

Looking out the window and up to the sky

I thank god that I gave you a try

Sometimes I wonder where I would be

If you hadn’t been interested in me

 

And I wonder if there would be, a me without you

Hear my words, they are real and true

You picked me up when I was down

When I was lost, by you I was found

 

Wrapping your arms around, you pull me close

Of them all I love you the most

When I fell you grabbed my hand

Helped me back to my feet, to learn how to stand

 

Since you. I’ve not shed a tear

When you’re around, there’s nothing I fear

And I wonder where I’d be

If you hadn’t been interested in me

 

I gaze in your eyes and all I see

Are the hopes for you and me

This is our story from beginning to end

My forever, my lover, my friend
