Ol' Forgotten Sky

It has been here for a while now,

Oh this ol' forgotten sky.

Embracing all the changing colors,

It's radiance is passing by.

Soft and still it sits and waits now,

To be embraced and so will I.

Looking for something to remember,

When this ol' life is gone and dry.

Swimming up the riverbed now,

It searches for a place to lie.

While it produces life and meaning,

Shortly here, it too will die.

Oh it takes nothing as it waits now,

It is patient so am I.

Asking nothing in return for,

All it has done, so still I try.
