You love me so desperately,

 

but only when you’re desperate.

 

You think you’re irreplaceable,

 

in turn I am taken for granted.

 

I am at your dispose.

 

You think you mean the world to me,

 

that I can’t let you go.

 

Unfortunately, that was true.

 

Indeed, you saw straight through.

 

Fortunately, God has redeemed me,

 

and carried me away from you.

 

He has given me beauty,

 

and called me His own.

 

Today, I am forever changed,

 

I am made new.

 

Now you want to go back,

 

the choices you made are driving you insane.

 

Well listen now,

 

lean in close.

 

My time here is done,

 

I am taking a bow.

 

I’ve already been here,

 

been there, done that.

 

I’m truly optimistic for you,

 

maybe this time it sticks.

 

As for me, this time I’m taking picks.

Through the first part of your poem, I sensed hurt and a hint of anger behind those words but then through out the rest, there was acceptance. Bad break up maybe? A fairy tail that had a bad ending? Nah, it was escaping a nightmare and choosing a better dream.. Yes? :p
