1A Poem by Lizzy BOne of my old sonnets back in my dark, nobody understands me days. My writing has changed since than, but I feel like this poem in particular really captures how I was feeling at the time.
Isolated from the horrors I know.
My only company the distant stars, Disillusioned by the thought of a foe, Too many open wounds, too many scars. My gleeful extroversion has long passed, Leaving me a cynical, empty soul, Like Mount Vesuvius' violent blast Infuriation takes over control. Oh sadness, despair, my two closest friends! You give no enlightenment of wisdom, You've murdered my God, brought hope to an end, Earth be my master, be my religion! You've provided me with life up till now Nourish my heart and your land I shall sow.
