South Shore is a great location to buy your new home. It has all the necessities you need, in addition to various fun locations and great businesses. Just south of Boston and only a few hours drive away from New York, South Shore has a lot going for it that makes an ideal location for a family home.

South Shore is located just south-east of Boston and, as the name suggests, has a shoreline along the Atlantic. The South Shore region consists of several suburban towns with a long history. Each of the towns has its own unique story and was historically significant for something or the other. Several settlements date back to 17th century and there are quite a few historic buildings in this region. You will find various kinds of South Shore on sale. There are plenty of homes in suburban suburban neighborhoods as well as high-end condos with ocean view. Sometimes there are also a few seafront mansions available for sale in this region.


Convenience


It is easily possible to commute daily to most of the commercial areas in Boston. There is ample public transport, with commuter trains and ferries connecting Boston to various regions in South Shore. The public beaches are perfect places for a short relaxing stroll or a run. The Edaville Family Theme Park and Water Wizz water park are great options for family recreation. Art connoisseurs will be pleased by a visit to the Art Complex Museum. It also has some great places of historical interest. An example is the Plimoth Plantation, a living museum, where you will find that not only the plantation is stuck in the 17th century, but it is also staffed by guides dressed in costumes of the era. It also has the Plimoth Grist Mill, a fully functional 17th-century water mill which is still used to ground corn using a 200-year-old French burr. There’s also the Battleship Cove, which has some iconic battleships such as USS Massachusetts and other ships which served in World War 2. The New Bedford Whaling Museum is also an interesting place to check out.
