We Think Of The Future

We always think about it

I'm writing the future

I'm writing my dreams

Now 

I'll get lost in my memories

Get lost in emptiness 

Now 

So I'm thinking of leaving

Yelling my feelings out

Something will always be missing 

Something we'll never get 

Now

So I'm thinking about the future

I'm thinking of everything around

Me 

I'm growing up 

I'll be someone new

Now 

I'll be someone else 

Tomorrow

So lets think of the future

Think of our dreams on the ground 

I'll think of myself flying around

It's no joke, but my dream of being an Aerospace Engineer is also because, I want to fly in my airplanes, its a dream of my mind.

The thing I see most is uncertainty. You talk about thinking of the future, but you never say what you think. That would be interesting, really. What do you think?

Yes, there is always uncertainty. We all have uncertainty. Maybe this should be titled, "Uncertainty about the future", because you include no thoughts about the future, but ponderings. As that, this is a perfect representation of where most people are in their thinking. I am uncertain. Everyone I know is uncertain. I wish I had real thoughts of the future, but I don't.

If you have dreams, let's have them. You mention aspirations in the authors' notes. This should be in the poem. Be direct. Tell us about your dreams. That would be thoughts about the future. Go ahead and bare your soul and your dreams. I want to know.

I like the simplicity of your words with a topic that can be really complex. It grounds the poem. I also like the contradiction in the last 2 lines, because i think it represents humans' desire to to keep dreaming big, even if we tell ourselves not to. but I think the element I like most is the repetition of "now" in the first stanza. Nice creative touch! Great write!

I think that you have mentioned your aspirations before re designing planes and flying Lizardo - this shows just how encompassing that dream of yours is - its in your waking and your sleeping and with such drive Im sure you will make that dream come true.
Im sure our thoughts do have a direct impact, thats why a positive mental attitude is needed and you exhibit such an attitude I feel.

I love this! You never know what kind of person you will be tomorrow, I experience that a lot. If something happens at work and I handle it one way, but I knew if it happened two weeks ago I would have handled it a different way. It all depends on how you grow as a person. Not even you can predict yourself because change is always happening. Very thought provoking.
