One Night Out

My first attempt to make a love story

It started when I woke up today in the morning, the fresh smell of the air in the morning. All I could think about was about the girl with the curly blonde hair and the blue eyes. I was already in summer vacation so I had nothing else to do, my room was sort of messy with socks and shirts in every spot.

‘’Time to wake up Cinderella!’’ I heard it coming from downstairs

It was Michael, My roommate and best friend

I sat in the bed and started moving slowly out of it, then I dressed up and went down stairs where the living room was.

The T.V was at the center of it with the couch and some plants

‘’What’s the big deal for today? Nothing good happens in our miserable lives’’ I said

‘You sure have a big way to give us hope in the morning Dominick’’ Michael said

I just nodded and sat down on the couch, Michael turn on the T.V and we were silent for 10 minutes, then he broke the silence

‘’I hooked you up Rosalina’’ Michael said

‘’YOU DID WHAT?’’

Rosalina, my beautiful loving Rosalina, The girl with the curly blonde hair and blue eyes who I can see in my dreams every night and whom I think of every day

‘’How…How did you do that?’’ I asked with a nervous tone

‘’She’s been mad at you because you don’t ask her out, so I thought it would be a good idea if I made you the favor, I told her that you were going to go to the movies and if she wanted to go with you’’

‘’And what did she said?’’ I asked with adrenaline flowing up and down through my body

‘’Well she said yes’’ Michael answered

‘’And- and how did she say it? Did she answer with a happy or sad face?

Did she say it joyfully or sad? Do you think she liked it?’’ I asked with anxiety

‘’Whoa, calm down Formula 1 car! She said happy and joyfully you bloody piece of the universe, just calm yourself down you’ll do fine’’

Michael  said with a smile

‘’okay, I’ll try to calm down’’

‘’At what time do I have to be there?’’

‘’At 7 PM’’

‘’You still have the whole day to think about it and try to work things out’’

Michael said

‘’What would happen if I did something wrong?’’

‘’Oh would you shut up! You’ll do fine’’

‘’I will have you ready for tonight!’’ Michael said

And that’s how my day went, I walked to starbucks with Michael and he started talking about all of his experiences and how he handles the situation. I almost didn’t pay attention to him, I was just thinking of that beautiful girl

‘’-So do you understand me?’’

I finally came back to the world

‘’Oh yeah, don’t worry’’ I said

‘’You look pretty fine, that’ll be good who knows how can she react’’

‘’Maybe she’ll be mad at you or something or you’ll do something bad and-‘’

‘’Michael’’ I said

‘’Yeah?’’

‘’Shut up’’

 

And then the Big hour came, we were suppose to meet up at the movies and I was there in the cinema, waiting anxiously for her to come with a thousand thoughts in my mind and  I couldn’t place a single right thought.

The street was full of people in the restaurants and in a bar while others were waiting just like me to go see the movie. Downtown was pretty crowded the whole time, there wasn’t an hour were this place wasn’t full of people.

And then she came, with a beautiful jacket, scarf and jeans.

Wow she looks so damn beautiful I thought

‘’Hi’’ I said (probably the most stupid thing to say)

She hugged me and said

‘’Hi’’

‘’Umm, should we enter?’’ I was dying in my inside, like seriously dying I didn’t know what to say

‘’Okay let’s go’’ She answered

We both decided to watch a Sci-Fi movie since love stories are too mainstream

I started to like her more.

The movie started and we watch it and then after a moment, she laid her head in my shoulder and whisper in my ear, I felt hear breath and air tickle around my skin

‘’Just be normal, don’t try to act like someone more, Show me who you really are’’

‘’But I’m kind of nervous, this is my first date’’ I whispered back (Again, a really stupid thing to say)

‘’Well, it’s mine too, so let’s both beat our fears shall we?’’

At that time, I started to like her more and more, the girl seemed like a nice person so I decided to relax and watch the movie with her.

After it finish we went outside and I asked her

‘’So do you want to go to starbucks?’’

‘’I still have a lot of time, Lets enjoy downtown ‘’ she said smiling at my me

Our eyes met and I felt my heart sink

‘’Come on!’’ she said and started running

‘’I’m going to beat you to starbucks!’’

‘’Oh no, you’re not going to defeat the fastest kid on the planet!’’ I yelled

‘’Show me what you got Flash!’’ And I started to catch up to her

After that, the nights seem like a dream, we talk a lot and it turned out we had the same interests.

We danced around the plaza, went to the mall and bought some books

Took A LOT of pictures with our phones

Walked around the city with her head leaning on my shoulder, then sadly, it was time to leave. So we took a taxi to her house and when we got their she said:

‘’Thank you for giving me an amazing night, I really hope we can do this kind of stuff more often…’’ She gave me a kiss in the cheek and went to her house

After that I went back to my home and then the imaged blurred.

I woke up; it was all a dream….

‘’Too good to be true’’ I said to myself

I sadly put my clothes on and step by step I went down to eat breakfast

Until Michael asked what was going on and I told him about the dream and everything

Then after I finish, we stood silent for minutes then he broke the silence and said to me:

‘’Dude, I got you a date with Rosalina tonight’’

The story is strong overall. You still need to improve a tiny bit on descriptions, and there were a few typos(ex. All I could think about was about, you don't need the second about). But stuff like that just gets better the more you practice. I really enjoyed the story and cannot wait to read the next part! Keep up the good work :)

Typos are annoyingly easy to miss lol. I miss them all the time in my writing :)
