Take Off Your Masquerade

Take Off Your Masquerade

A Poem by Lizardo

I'm tired of everyone
Lying at him self
Thoughts and memories
You can't deny come bursting
Out of your mind like a comet
Traveling through a tremendoues
High speed

Do me a favor
And take off your masquerade
I hate people who are something else
What you only see is them smiling at you
With a happy face and gaining your confidence
But when the moment comes
They'll strike you with a lightning bolt of lies
That will hurt you to the deepest part of your heart

The masquerade that you use is very clever
Most of us don't see it
Because with you
Playing the happy and friendly game of yours
To us
How can we really know who you are?

So do me a favor
And Take OFF YOUR MASQUERADE
I don't like being lied to
And don't acept people
Who wan't to be someone who they don't are
Just to gain your confidence and Strike you

I love this one. False fronts are found too often and are just lies. I like your wording through out this one.

Thank you so much sweetvalorie!
Oooh this is full of emotions that points out the lies and pretense of people around and I like the last part! Gain your confidence and strike you. There sure are some people like that. But I hope it's not the case around you
This is cool.
All in all, it's a good poem that can grow into a much more intense yet beautiful one
