Conquering The Highest Moutain

Conquering The Highest Moutain

A Poem by Lizardo

He was laying down on the snow
As the flickering snow covered his body
He felt terrible, sick, and sad
''I can't....give...up...''
With all of the effort in the world
He said those words

With his elbows, he was moving
Through the mountain
He could barely breath
'' I can't... give...up..''
Again those words
Until he gave up
The snow and the height of the mountain
Were too much for him

It seemed like all he worked for
Had been taken away from him

But something woke him up
It was a strange voice
it said
''Don't give up!''

The man got up
He felt his heart warm
And got up

With all his might and power
He ran until the top of the mountain
Nothing he could care about
Was more than conquering the mountain

When finally he reached the top of the mountain
He yelled to the whole world
''Let me be the light of the people!''
''Let them know what I did''
''Never let them give up''

what we want to accomplish we may with enough toughness of character.
