15 Days until Christmass

15 Days until Christmass

A Story by Lizardo

I really have no idea where to start, but I will do the best I can tell you the amazing experience that I had today.
I got out of work early today so I thought of inviting my girlfriend to the restaurant. We were In New York, the traffic? Horrible as always and there were many people there  buying the Christmas trees and presents, Anyways, a lot of movement going on and not to mention that is was snowing. After the half an hour of traffic I went to pick up my girlfriend, her name was Maria and let me tell you that She is a very nice girl. ''What took you so long?'' She asked
'''You know how new York is with the traffic, I'm sorry'' I said
''No need to worry darling, let's go I'm hungry''
And again, it took us half an hour to get to the restaurant and not to mention again that times square was really crowded but we got to the restaurant right on time
They gave us a seat  by the window and after 15 minutes of waiting, we order our food and started a little talk.
''15 days until Christmas'' She said with her lovely voice
''It seems that time flies really fast, I just felt that is was November and now December already?'' I said
''I know right, so what do you want for Christmas?'' she asked me
''All I want for Christmas is you maria'' I said. Her face turned red, she flushed and got a little nervous
''Aw, that's so sweet to say, let me tell you a secret''
''Witch one?'' I asked
''I want you for Christmas too'' And then my face turned red and I got nervous
The food came, we were very hungry because we didn't eat anything the whole day.
Now, this is where things get interesting, we asked for dessert a Chocolate cake to take with us so we could eat it at home, we were ready to leave until we saw this little kid in the window with a woman. ''Maria, look'' I said
''They look so sad, and probably have nothing to celebrate about''
''I have an idea'' I said
I told her in the ear what was my master plan
''Great idea Max, let's go'' She answered
We went outside and met the lady with the boy
They were saying something that really touched our hearts
''Don't worry my prince, we will have a good Christmas someday''
''Don't cry my boy, just have hope that someday we will be okay''
The boy crying said: ''I will try Momi, I'm trying''
''I will work to make you have the best jewelry and have the best houses in the world!''
''Excuse me?'' Maria said
''Oh young lady, I'm really sorry I didn't see you coming'' the lady said
''Me and my boyfriend wanted to bring you this cake, I know it's nothing but it's the best we can give you''
''I...''  The lady stood silent for a while
''Thank you very much couple!'' ''May god bless you a lot!'' ''and I know he will!''
We gave it to her and said goodbye.
What's really surprising is that  the waiter from the restaurant came to us and said:
''I'm sorry lady, gentlemen, but the restaurant people are perplex because they see you're talking to nothing there''
''Nothing?'' I said ''there was a lady with a child here''!
''I'm sorry to tell you gentlemen, but there is nothing here''
''But, I swear they were here! We talk to them and-''
Maria stopped me before I could say something else
Then she said: ''15 days until Christmas, and we already saw a miracle''

that's a great story, seasonal and full of laughter and surprise, maybe entertaining is the best fit for an "adjectival descriptor"...(pardon my language)
