Life's Lesson

Life's Lesson

A Poem by Flynn

When you die you're not forsaken

Your deeds are not forgot

Think about all you part-take-in

'Cause works are all you've got

Sorrow is really sweet

Missery is actually pure

Both of these we treat

As though they need a cure

Rejoice is what we should

For those no longer bound to earth

I'd build a ship if I could

Just to see its birth

Think before you act

Look before you leap

Here's a little fact

I know will make you weep:

When you die you're not forsaken

Your legacy lives on

Think of each bite of life you've taken

For soon you will be gone
