Thirteen.

Thirteen.

A Poem by Living Proof.
"

I posted this on my other username, also. But, like I said, it isn't finished.

"

I used to be that girl,

Who genuinely smiled at everything.

So confident,

Never let anybody break her down.

Until that day,

My confidence was broken.

I let just one person get in my way.

From that day on,

My world has drastically changed.

I take everything that is said,

The good and the bad,

Overthink, overanalyze, every situation.

And i'll try,

To be that thirteen year old girl,

Again.

Always said i'd be strong,

And always move on,

From the negative thoughts in my head.

It was just too much,

I was forced,

To give up.

Let myself be taken advantage of.

I've been thinking about it now,

And I have come to the conclusion,

I need to change my outlook on life.

My point of view on life's situations.

So keep trying,

Never Give up.

Believe,

Stay strong.

this is rather telling--a personal look into a girl growing up. we all wish sometimes to be that thirteen year old girl again--young, innocent, yet vulnerable, impressionable. which is why it always changes. finish it up! you have a good piece, here.

i really love this. if it isn't finished, then go ahead and finish it, but i think it's excellent the way it is.
