Chapter 7

A Chapter by allonsy_doctor

Dennis heaved in a deep breath, recollecting what he had seen in his vision. It was Scott Granger, the all-new author that he hated so much. He was free-falling in the air, no parachute, off a plane. His hair blew aimlessly behind him, and his eyes were closed. What did it mean? Was the kid suicidal?

Then, Dennis spotted Scott Granger. He was looking as dazed as Dennis was, his eyes rolling from the back of his head to the front. He looked curiously at Dennis, then rose from his uncomfortable position on the leather seat and lumbered over to Dennis.

What he said suprised Dennis quiet a bit.

"Can you see visions?"

Dennis coughed and choked on broken sentences, all sorts of answers swirling in his mind. He could tell him no, and say your an insane freak to think that. But, instead, invoultarily, Dennis barked,

"Yes I freaking can."

Scott Granger looked so surprised by his answer that he merely nodded. "Me too," he agreed.

"No freaking way..." Dennis coughed, then choked out, "Were you just seeing a vision too?"

"Yeah," Scott grinned weakly. "It was a gothic boy standing on a pluonieum speaking to a huge crowd of enthusiastic people." he enphasized the "enthusiastic" part.

"Mine was you," Dennis continued the visions talk. "You were...free-falling off a plane with no parachute."

Scott could not believe what the boy before him had said. He was free-falling off a plane? With no parachute? Had he gone suicidal in the future? Was he an insane madman trying aimlessly to escape an asylum by leaping headfirst off a plane with no means of protection? Was he really that  stupid?

"I never caught your name," Scott despraitely tried to change the subject. He didn't want to be a suicidal madman. And if the boy's vision said it was so, it was so.

"Dennis," the boy said weakly. "Dennis Payr."

Then, the nurse and the bus driver hauled the kid away.

Jackie increased her speed so that it matched Bella's. They were riding their bikes to school, but they had come upon a stopped bus. Bella, whom was naturally curious, screeched to a crumpled stop and ran to invesigate.

Jackie tripped after her. She was having trouble matching Bella's speed when she was running. Bella was also a star track runner. She ran a six mile race and won. Out of twenty-four thousand others.

When Bella reached the enterance to the bus, she stopped cold. "Jackie!" she cried. "There's a nurse in here and a kid on a stretcher!!"

Before Jackie could reply, she heard noises. The nurse speaking loudly. Crying out. "He's responcive."

"Halleluiah!" cried the woman bus driver.

Bella and Jackie backed up while the bus driver and the nurse, Mrs. Skandler, hauled the stretcher with the kid on it into the ambulance. While the nurse explained everything to the paramedics, the bus driver went back into her bus and tried to explain everything to the kids.

Jackie curiously walked over to the fallen boy. "Are you...okay?" she whispered.

"Yeah," he managed, then went white, just like Jackie had been that night.

Jackie, unknowing what to do, screamed, "Help! He's sick or something!"

Mrs. Skandler rushed over, her eyes wide with fear. When she saw the boy unresponcive and purely white on the abbandoned stretcher, she immeadiately began shoving on his ribs.

Jackie was crying. She was shaking and trembling all over. Bella hugged her and she cried into her shoulder. Jackie couldn't take it. Too much had happened.

Then, she recieved another vision.

Scott heard screaming outside. Mrs. Skandler was pushing down hard on Dennis's ribs like he was some kind of air compresser, and another girl had fallen. He spied Dennis's white face. He was having another vision. Scott sighed in a stressed fasion, running his hand through his dark, thick hair. The girl was white too. Could she just be sick? Or could she, like Dennis and himself, be having a vision?

The girl that was holding the fallen girl was screaming, "Jackie!! Jackie!!"

So, the sick girl's name was Jackie.

The vision he saw was confusing. And terrifying.

Before him stood the gothic boy that Scott Granger had discribed, grinning madly. He held a sword in the air, clearly sharpened and gleaming in some kind of light. Then, the white background faded into somekind of dungeon area. The light gleaming off the sword was torchlight, for torches lined the stone walls down a long corindor. It was an eerie corindor, complete with a dark, pitch black end, and bumpy stone walls. Before the gothic boy with the sword stood a girl. The same girl he had just encountered.

She was bloody and crying, her shoulders shaking. She reached out one, bloody hand towards the gothic boy, crying, "Why did you have to do this?"

"Well, the seocity is called, 'Say No to Mutants', and you are, unforunately, some kind of Mutant."

Then, the gothic boy struck the sword down.

But the vision had completely faded before Dennis could see the outcome.

Jackie's vision was brief.

It was her, shaking a fallen Bella, crying, "NO!!"

Then, she woke up.

Jackie looked back towards Bella, whom looked so intently relieved that Jackie had awoken. She searched her vision for the sick boy. He was still there, on the stretcher, and, like her, was just waking up. He was heavy breathing and she swore she saw tears in his unforgiving eyes. Slowly, she felt drawn to him, as though he held some key to her fate...

Then, the worst happened.

All three fainted.
