morning thoughts

      Everyone who knows me knows that Im absolutley NOT politically correct. Im no bigot, or homophobe. Im not a republican or a hate mongerer in any way, but all of those that consider me friend, and most aquantences-kno how i cant stand all of the P.C. "BUZZ" words and rhetoric that gets thrown around on a daily basis. Most have heard my diatribes about how P.C.-ists are killing comedy, and how nothing is allowed to be funny anymore etc. Friends have heard my ramblings about how the more society continues to take offense at every single little word/phrase/statement being uttered by the "LESS" informed- the more these struggles lose their meaning,and their subsequent effectivness for any actual change, and so on. 
I read the news alot. I never believe everything i read, but I do read tons. I dont kno why, maby it is so I can keep up with all of you ULTRA- smart progressive types. Maby its so I can pretend that i am just as well informed as all of you, when you show boat your new crusade at the bbq. Maby its so i wont look ignorant when I hear you all shop your new political catch phrases at social gatherings-when you unveil your new definitions,with your "orwellian new speak" making certian that you look FAR FAR down your nose at the rest of us poor naves, as if to elongate your judgement on everyone who doesnt think and believe exactly as you do. 

So, i read every day, and one thing that i like to do when i read is i like to peruse the comments sections-see what others across the states have to say about it all. I do this for no other reason -then to try and look at perspectives from people who are not in the wonderful little stratosphere that we all have made for ourselves. If for anything -then to try and step out of the small microcosim that we dwell in and identify as many things (punk, tribe,scene ) whatever ....

 So, ill read the comments that "peggy" from wisconsin has to say...or what "dale" from kentucky feels about this or that, and there is one thing that always seems to reemerge; one thing that keeps re-surfacing again and again. One thing that keeps bubbling up, like that green pepper that you ate on that pizza- the one that keeps belching into your mouth- even tho it was consumed weeks ago, That one thing is this....
AMERICA, you are racist as F**K!!! The mainstream of America are the most scared and judgemental and Racist fuckers in the entire world. We all like to pretend that we have all come so far, and maby so...but when you look at the mass majority of pubic opinion-it is blisteringly clear that we have only moved mere inches -with regards to truly being a society that sees no colors. Old people -young people, educated people- Even the most progressive "liberal" soccor mom, is racist. She still has the knee jerk reaction when startled at the ATM by a black person appearing behind her, she still locks her car doors in downtown at nite when she drives by "THOSE" neighborhoods. Maby she was born that way. Maby Its innate like its almost in her DNA to be scared all of the time. Whatever the reasons are one thing is for sure... we have a long way to go-before any of us can truly say that the ugly spectre of racial disparity is over. That racism is just ancient history, and that we no longer hate; that society is not scared anymore. We have a long way to go before any one of us can say that we dont pigeon hole -or stereo-type or cast judgement anymore, that we dont resent other races for making us fear, for making us vulnerable, for making us weak. One thing is for sure-we dam sure have a long way to go.
