Deception

Deception

A Poem by Livenrite
"

The first poem I wrote in Australia...boring classes seem to be universal:)

"

It happens every night

when I turn out the light

I look into the mirror

and I see you staring at me

You put on a mask

With every question that I ask

All I want is the truth

but you always deceive me

In torture, you constantly live

Your heart fails to give

All because of your deceit

You are slowly breaking me

I wish for nails long

and a mind that is strong

To rip off your mask

That is deceiving me

But your dark eyes haunt

A fake smile, you flaunt

I am buried and lost

You are drowning me

I wish for the day

When I could throw you away

and your face of deception

stops looking like me
