Paranoia, the Ultimate Cheater

Paranoia, the Ultimate Cheater

A Poem by Livenrite

In the middle of the night
I wake up and your'e gone
I don't say this out of spite
But I'm regretting to have met you

You said you'd never cheat
But that's what they all say
Putting me in the backseat
And I'm losing my respect for you

What happened to our dream?
To run off to Paris together
Don't say you made a mistake
I won't take that as an answer

And tomorrow is my birthday
The day I'll pack my bags
I wish this wasn't the way
But I won't be a third wheel

In the morning I am shaken
And you're there once again
Hiding a face that's forsaken
You ask me to come to the attic

I couldn't feel any more sour
But you open the attic door
Stands proud the Eiffel Tower
You made with your angelic hands

I would worry every single night
I'm now ashamed of my paranoia
I take back what I said in spite
I am so ever luck to have met you

This is a pretty cool piece. They are a few spelling errors that you can easily fix upon revision. Your story flows very well and your simple sentences were able to capture a complex emotion very well. You have a great way with words. Very well done.
