Fair Law vs. Abusive Love

Fair Law vs. Abusive Love

A Poem by Livenrite

In court, you stand up when being spoken to
In love, I sit when I'm being yelled at
In court, you can say objection
In love, I reluctantly embrace the bat
In court, your family is behind you
In love I must always suffer alone
In court you can post bail
In love, I'm forced to go home
In court and love, both wait a sentence
But in court, you're innocent until proven guilty
And in love, I am guilty until proven innocent

Very good idea, comparing the two. I love the last lines:
"In court, you're innocent until proven guilty
and in love, I am guilty until proven innocent."
Great job!
