It's a Journal

Morn came up like sweet music. The chirps of tinsel echoed in the sky. I thank Jehovah Jesus for blessing my life and making me contented.

I am reading Paul’s Letter to the Corinthians and I would like to share some thoughts with you.

Paul talks of gifts coming from God. Yes God rewards us spiritually and materially. We have to constant in Prayer asking God to gift us with his choice.

Then Paul talks of infighting in the Church of Corinth. Paul gently pleads with them to be at peace with one another.

Again Paul says that he didn’t come to Corinth to make a large following but because he was obedient to God’s Word.

The Message of the cross cannot be understood intellectually but only spiritually.

For the Jews to believe in Christ�"they want signs and miracles. For the Greeks, they want Philosophical wisdom. This acts as a stumbling block for accepting the message of Christ. What is needed is simple Child like Faith when we approach God’s Kingdom.

The mystery of God is spiritual wisdom and not the wisdom of the street.  Embracing God’s wisdom guarantees us a place in heaven.  Paul encourages the Christians in Corinth to grow in Christian Faith.

Paul gently chides with them about sexual promiscuity in the church.  Yes, the scripture is very clear that sexuality is a gift of God and should be practiced within the bounds of married life.

Paul cautions them to settle disputes amongst themselves and not take matters to court.

Paul recommends that if you have the desire to have sex, go get married. Sexuality is a gift of God and should be practiced in married life.

Paul again explains that God does not lie in Idols. There is only one God�"the messiah Christ.

Paul again speaks of eating meat sacrificed before idols. He admits that it is possible with caution. He says that if a person who has just come to Christ sees a believer eating the food given to idols, he may loose his faith.
