Disgruntled Ex Communist from Kerala

Kerala, God’s Own Country is a home for a flock of communist sheep. I was once an ardent follower. For many youth of Kerala, Che Guevara was an iconic figure. As I write this narrative, I feel a tinge of regret. Communism is a dead corpse. It has a bankrupt ideology. India is a galloping horse as far as Capitalism is concerned. The top echelons of the party like the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan have themselves and their kith and Kin studying in international universities abroad have also bathed in the waters of lucrative businesses. Communism is a disguised capitalist cosmetic. Communism in Kerala benefits the rich few and marginalizes large number of its followers. Communism in Kerala is a social and political Dracula having its blood hungry fangs to impoverish its followers.

Coming from a Marxist-Leninist, I still feel it's too early to call Communism a "dead corpse" of an ideology.
The new generation, of which I'm a part, has its fair share of conservatives, liberals, and socialists.
Perhaps, 20th century Communism has failed to sustain itself, largely due to corrupt leaders. Kerala is a mere remnant of that 20th century conquest.
Capitalism faces genuine threats in the form of climate change, and fascist leaders like Trump and Modi.
And liberalism isn't strong enough to resist that surge. I feel the world will always need Communism. Proletarian internationalism, on the other hand, remains a distant dream.

There's a joke about me that when I was baptized I pissed on the cassock of the priest and my tryst with iconoclasm being then I am a Hellenic Philistine, an Existential Nihilist, a staunch Epicurea.. more..
