April 21st 2019A Story by anandboseIt's a Journal.Morning
torpedoed in a celestial array of colors. Wind chimes were singing on tree branches.
I thank God Jehovah Jesus for this pleasant Sunday Morning. I thank him for his
grace mercy and blessing. I was
reading the Gospel of John and an incident in it deeply touched me. The Pharisees
brought before Jesus a woman who committed adultery. They wanted to trick Jesus
and said to him: what punishment should we give her. They knew that if he said:
stone her that means he is blaspheming and if he said to let her go scot free,
he is violating the law. Jesus evaded
them and told them: which one you has never sinned: stone her. They went away.
Woman who committed adultery as an idiom means being acquitted in a court of
law. I have not been a woman who committed adultery. The accused became a woman
who committed adultery. The second incident
which I read was the story of Lazarus, Martha and Mary. One day Lazarus fell
sick and died. Jesus went to see them after four days. He commanded them to
remove the stone of the cave in which he was placed. Then he commanded Lazarus
to rise up and walk. Lazarus as an idiom means being divinely healed. A Lazarus
occurred to my son when he was very critical. Mary and Martha means being
steadfast in belief. My ambition to be a writer is Mary and Martha. © 2019 anandbose |
