Hey You

Hey You

A Poem by olivia
"

A letter to my younger self

"

Hey you,

Yes you.

I know you feel bad

I know you feel like nothing matter

Like no one cares

I know how much you want to end it all

I understand you’re feeling alone

But that blade you’re holding isn’t your friend

People do care, even when it feels like they don’t

And although you feel alone, you aren’t

People love you, even if you don’t want to admit it

You deserve love

You deserve happiness

You deserve everything you could ever want

I know it’s hard now,

But you’ll get through this

You may never feel 100% amazing,

But you’ll feel better

Even a little

And its that little tiny part that matters

The days where you feel numb

Well, they’re better than wanting to die

Embrace the numbness

Don’t drive it away

And on the days, you feel like you rule the world

Go on and rule that world

Revel in that bliss

Do all the things you’ve been putting off

And on the days where you can’t even get out of bed

Push yourself

Even if you only make it to the couch

That’s better than nothing

I love you

Please never leave this world my love

With love- Your future self
