Why does it still hurt?

Why does it still hurt?

A Poem by olivia

Why does it still hurt when I see you face?

Why do I feel sick when I hear your name?

When I see your username on my brothers snapchat bff’s?

Why do I still miss you?

Why do I still dream about you?

Or look for you in the halls

Even though I know you’re not there

Why do I still think about you?

Knowing that you never think about me

Knowing that you don’t love me

You moved on so fast

You didn’t wait for me to catch up

You just kept running

Until you were out of reach

Why do I still love you?

Why did you hurt me?

Why does your memory live within my bedroom walls?

In my sheets

On my pillow

On my favorite blanket

On my couch

In my heart

Why does this still hurt?

Please

Tell me why

I don’t understand

Why does it still hurt?

felt this often enough...and that question changed from "why did you hurt me?" to "why do i allow myself to be hurt"

Cause you cared... when we don't - care - people, things, even places ...aren't missed. Catching even a single breath can be sooo hard.
