Remember

Times like these are the worst

When my thoughts and memories get the best of me.

When the thought of my baby come crashing into my brain.

He was so sweet and perfect

Everything about him was perfect

The way he smiled and laughed

To the way he smelled.

I loved him so much

The things he went through for me…  because of me

The things he did for me

Everything.

He made me so happy

He helped me so much

He was the light in my life

But then he took that light away

Ripped the happiness from my chest

All the things he helped fix

Were broken once again.

He did the unspeakable,

He left…. And never came back

And all I can do

Is remember

And I try hard not to

But there are times

Times like this

When I can’t forget

Just how much he meant to me

And just how much

He hurt me.
