It’s lonely inside this brain of mine

It’s quiet

And empty

The fire in here died a long time ago

Leaving ashes and despair

I try to fill it

With happiness

And music

But they don’t stay long

The check out of their room

Just as fast as they checked in

Memories of the past

And the present

Haunt me

Break me

Then they’re gone

Leaving me alone again

In silence
