Sincerity Wears A Crooked Tie

Sincerity Wears A Crooked Tie

A Poem by littlewonders

Don't think I'll ever be so sure
 under this vermillion sky
cinnamon scented or otherwise
Spotting an oddly
Fairly charming man
wearing a rather crooked tie
break down so quickly
and ever quiet
you'd miss
if not for the porcelain face dame draped close to him
wearing the smile of a perfect madman
in sync
to a room drowned by calypso
brimming happy hour drinks
only faltering as you take another glance
to notice a stained cream glove
smeared red
splattered maybe
speckled you'd think
but only spotted by chance

Assuming she's keeping appearance
Her plastered grin shows otherwise,
But who would know
As someone simply passing by
