'The Fountain' 2004A Chapter by Little MouseTWO YEARS IN, my marriage had accumulated baggage beyond repair and one day I dumped it all out; "it was strewn all over the house and I said, “I don’t even think I want to try to fix it.” We did not have the skills to resolve it. Our pasts were working against us, even our therapists agreed. But perhaps my next vision held an answer ... if anything, it gave me hope. There was a white house, sitting at the end of a long straight lane. Along the lane were perfectly spaced extremely tall trees, lining all the way to the house. There were two white rocking chairs on the front porch, facing a large rectangular pool. Inside the house, I was drawn to an abundantly filled pantry, the size of a kitchen, located next to the master bedroom. I scanned the shelves surprised at all the food. Outside was a meandering rock path leading to bushes that separated the pool from the fountain. Inside the circle shaped fountain was a large stone elephant, with his trunk high in the air, spouting water out in the shape of an umbrella. Perhaps the tall trees symbolized growth? Perhaps I was to move? The stocked pantry could mean health and abundance? The pool was perhaps a refreshing renewal? Though the elephant fountain continued to be a mystery to me.
Perhaps he was the well-known “elephant in the room”? God had been interceding in my marriage. Was the fountain somehow symbolic of God spouting living water? Had I not been truly living? My ideas were out there, but I knew this vision held great importance. I continued with hopes that God would bring me to that place he wanted me to be. I prayed relentlessly. As it turned out, many details from this vision matched the very apartment I eventually chose to live in. © 2020 Little Mouse |
