My brother dreamt in June:
I was walking down a dark gloomy city street
But if I walked the same direction just a couple blocks over
I’d be walking along a bright and beautiful beach!
His dream clearly stuck with me
I started praying in June
Every night the same prayer for several weeks:
“God, if it's your will, please get me out of here, and by the end of June!”
Finally a deadline followed by searching for days
Long-term or short-term?
I can’t possibly know yet, and whoa, way too pricey
Or way to creepy, I wouldn’t sleep a wink!
A week to the deadline
A church friend offered a room
I know your struggle, come on over
I should have all you need and a wireless cable modem too!
What would you charge me I asked?
As I brought a figure to my mind
She paused and matched the figure to a T
It was then I knew it was the right choice for me
All the stars were aligning
I’d lost track of the days
The move had to be that weekend
My head in a daze
After a long day of packing
I finally sat for a midnight break
The June calendar had just flipped over
And I was moving to the day!
Just a couple blocks over
No more walking in darkness and gloom
But walking along the seashore
In her lighthouse beach themed spare room
There is no Saint Steven
But my brother gave me a good nudge
With his lovely prophetic dream
I was soon walking along in the sun.
