Jumping In

Jumping In

A Poem by Little Mouse
"

Avoiding the painful slow cold wade.

"

Wading in slowly

Water painfully cool

Keep my hair dry

Shade my eyes

How long till the break

So no one will splash me

Or bump me

Just want to be alone

So I can relax

But do I ever really relax?

Thankfully the dinner bell rang

Vanishing all the loud kids home

Jumping in

Water envelopes me

Instantly comfortable

Ahhhh

Hair flowing

Like sea grass

Without a care

Floating

Alone

Peaceful

Sun resting

On my face

Hearing nothing but the water

Or the chirp of a bird…

What kept me from this lovely state?

The clutter in the pool

Or the clutter in my mind?

Very cool how I feel like I just lazed in a pool right now!! That's it, next weekend, I'm NOT skipping the pool!!!
This is great. And yes, I'm sure it was the clutter in the pool....!!
