Laughing in the Face of DeathA Poem by Angel_Rose1979This one is about teen suicides.
You are not that old,
But here you are, laughing in the face of death, And as your body grows cold, You smile with relief as you draw your last breath. You smile because you know, That your soul is finally free, Now there are so many places to go, You feel happy to be free. People who once surrounded you, Who lost you with no warning, Oh, how they miss you, They now spend their time mourning. Little do they know, how relieved you were, As you laughed in the face of death, How happy you were, How you smiled as you drew your finale breath. Little did they know, How you welcomed death like an old friend, That you wanted to go, Little did they know, how ready you were for the end.
