Stolen

Stolen

A Poem by CM

He stole what he could not give back,

He took what was not his to take.

Now she must deal with the pain,

She must wear a smile that is fake.

She had believed in love and happiness,

In a life that was a fairy tale.

Now she is left with scars and pain,

In a life that hurts like hell.

The years have went by,

The world has continued on.

Yet she is sitting in the corner,

Not sure where it has all gone.

They said that time could heal her,

That this horrid memory would fade.

The memory is still scorching and raw,

Too big a scar has been made.

The smile she wears hides it well,

She really appears to not mind.

Too bad the smile only hides,

The damage he left behind.
