just my mood right now. This is how I kept the tears from coming down.

I look out the window
watching racing lights
avoiding what I know
my chest doesn’t feel right.

the feeling sets in
I’m guessing what it is
same old pity party again?
it’s just the war within.

my chest I can’t take this
it’s me against myself
my mind has its fists
my heart hides on the shelf

they’re ready for the fight
the one caused by storms
that spin inside me every night
because these emotions leave me torn

torn in half, splitting apart
I never know what to do
this is where the breaking starts
darkness cutting through

no one can help me...
