An afterthought of love

An afterthought of love

A Poem by indu
"

..of my love

"
one way or the other,
love dies.

And yet somewhere within us
the hope of a misty love remains,
where the wonders of the world
gather, keep us alive.

Subtle, a story when
we are to hide behind the destined veils.

Consider it as the indian situation.. parents would rather die than see their children marry their loves. and children would kill their love than see their parents die.

Of course, not everyone is like this. times are changing, and oldies are accepting their decisions ..and most of them blame the liberal thought as, "oh..westernization, globalization..blah blah blah" :D

your lines reflect a fact….
That nobody dares to say aloud….
I am impressed….

It flows beautifully, I loved the air of slight mystery about it. Well done.

what's '..' for ?? is it 'death' ??

i disagree love never dies .. people may change but as the 2nd stanza suggests its love(abstract) that we keep hoping for .. 'destined veils' is truly a wonderful euphemism

passion fades, romance fades, love does not

I love beautiful sunrises for the way they give fresh hope. Very nice.

... philosophically speaking ... i'd say one can never tell ... but this is exquisite poetry ... beautifully felt, written and presented ... "destined veils" is a particularly beautiful expression ... (highest rating) ...
