Leafy FateA Poem by literarysoundsFollow a tiny leaf through its life's journey.
A leaf in the wind. Where is it headed I wonder? Maybe we should follow it. Up and down the currents, sliding effortlessly past atoms and dust and dying, dying bit by tiny bit, as its fleshy cape soars past stingy little crits, up the currents into higher clouds, flowing down the streams of strife and over walls of kites, nearly catching fire while sliding past the surface, the surface of witty blazes, long dried out oases. Yet unscathed in the wind, this leaf floats further although slightly thinned. Almost home and filled with bliss, a canyon finds its way to this, this leaf that's still unscathed, now dwindling off into abyss.
