Asteria

Asteria

A Poem by Gregory Stires
"

a devotional poem to the goddess Hecate's mother the Starry Titaness Asteria.

"
Asteria of starry nights
Illuminating the night like the star she is,

A star so precious
Captures the eye of Thundering Zeus
Zeus gives swift chase
after the starry titaness,

To escape the Olympian kings grasp,
she falls,
Shooting herself across the sky
Into ocean depths
To where the falling star
Rises as the isle Delos

I love the mythology references as I love it! Then there's the beautiful scenery you paint in this amazing poem!
