Eros the Archer of Love

Eros the Archer of Love

A Poem by Gregory Stires

Oh Eros flying the sky shooting
Arrows that makes peoples' hearts burn with love,
on the day of love he flies from Olympus

Shooting arrows as graceful as a skilled archer,
Son of Night who brought love when there was
Only chaos in the world,
Lover of Psyche who was more beautiful than
Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty and love herself,
He who is worshiped on the day of love,
Brother of Anteros who is the avenger of
Unrequited love,
He who lives in men's hearts but where there
is hardness he departs,
Evil he may be but honey-sweet his words,
For there is no truth in him the rogue

Underestimated he is as a lot think love is not as powerful

But tho are wrong for love can bring even the most powerful of beings

His arrows lethal they are

Making people be devoured in love for the person they see first

As the god of love strikes you down with

Arrows filled with passion and love

Arrows filled with hatred able to break the most harmonious of

Relationships

A mischievous god he is

Making fellow gods and goddess fall in love

He who awakens the passion and desire of love

Within us all

Oh Eros winged Protogenoi of love and desire

Born of black winged Nyx Protogenoi of the night

May you guide us to our soul mate with your arrows of love

So we may know the full joy of having a lover

As you and your divine lover of soul Psyche have experienced.

Amazingly done my fellow writer of the gods. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one.
