the fur can be so soft

when you pet it just right

the cats do not bite

if you do it wrong though

you might just get mauled

dead to death and cut to pieces

so... softly

very carefully

pet the fur softly

like the moon pets the earth

like the earth pets the sun

close but not quite

stuck hard to the surface
