brains

there is an angel inside

you know

where the demon resides

a guiding light 

through these cynical lands

dressed in reasonable thoughts

during unreasonable times

doing unreasonable things

to bring back reasonable times

so, maybe there are no angels

perhaps, demons never existed

but there is still a human inside

where the animal resides

that is the truth every time

every human is an animal

but not all humans will act like animals
