tip of the spear

it's a stupid name for a poem

all into the indifference of existence

where most will suffer alone together

but everyone's here if you look

all of us mourning together

there are some of us out here

crucifying daily the ego

there are others as well

ignoring regularly the pain

until the damage is done

still, there are humans

celebrating the mind

overcoming the obstacles

unwilling to surrender

and among them are others

even fewer in numbers

embracing what's next

piercing the veil

bringing difference to existence

doing justice to the consciousness

Thanks cabbage. Be sure to do justice to your existence... it's actually pretty easy. Most people who make it hard are only doing it because they are jerks for one reason or another. This poem has nothing to do with Alan Watts but your review tells me that you might like his outlook. Part of me certainly identifies with him.
