how no one can truly be human without people

 

oh how i hope you can empathize  

it keeps me going, the hoping

the empathy

how they make me a better person

how they show me what it means to be human

We are don’t typically like to be alone for biological and mental reasons. We can make great changes with groups of people for good or negative but we are not designed to be solitary

Humans are one of the most social species of all the species, probably the most social. But some people are not interested in socializing for various reasons, or no reason at all. I think small group bonding is an evolutionary advantage that probably lead to modern social behavior and civilization in general. Teamwork allows for an exponential advantage. But the landscape has changed... being solitary is no longer as disadvantageous as it once was in terms of basic survival. Humans are more individually independent at this point than we ever have been as a species. It's driving some people crazy... not everyone can responsibly handle being alone as an adult. That kind of living independence can destroy a person if they have no discipline. Now that social media has hyperbolized our differences in a shameless way (ad revenue baby)... I am not surprised more and more people are choosing to have less to do with modern civilization. Most of it is just noise. Being social today is bad for you biologically and psychologically. Or maybe it's just me. It's probably just me.
