Beautiful! Sometimes it is only ourselves that we owe an apology. Forgiveness is about letting go from our side rather than demanding understanding and and apology from those who hurt us. Letting go is one of the hardest things we can learn to do in this life.

Monumental is a strong word. Anyway, I do think a lot more people fail to learn how to deal with rejection properly... on a small scale, on a large scale... humans are more mentally ill than not. Of course, considering what our bodies were made to do 100 thousand years ago... we are all saints and this is an extremely clean paradise. If you're cool with abstracting reality in an extreme way to mitigate physical pain while gaining a competition advantage over your pets... some people value this achievement differently. Some of us are completely disgusted by it... we consider it a loss.

That response had nothing to do with that poem I just realized. I think the poem was just about some chick I dated in my 20's who refused to accept my apology and it frustrated me for years until I finally realized... she was right not to... it hurt a little extra but did indeed result in less damage for both of us. Man I miss that women. I wonder if she still despises me? (yes)

lmao we all go on rants sometimes..anyway, women can despise and love you at the same time, it seems as though a weird genetic process in brains that allows women to multi task feelings...strange and all uniquely beautiful

I have found that the women in my life understand the word "ambivalence" better than me. I'm not sure if that's a "me" problem or a universal trait of the opposite sex though.

It's a love hate relationship. The worst pain a women can inflict on a man is to fall in love with him, go through a messy seperation, and then achieve (or appear to achive) indifference before the other person got over anything. That man will never truly love again if you do it properly. I shouldn't be telling you guys this s**t.
