Hmmm, my life, 62 years in the living has been built upon a wish to have more than when growing up and to give my daughter a more comfortable life than my own.
Math, me and math never saw, still do not, and never will, see eye to eye.
Happy New year Dave, hope all is well and 2024 will be a good one for you and yours

if you live without purpose. what is the point.
forgotten reason is just as deadly.
almost as if you are telling the reader {know your worth}
:) lovely.
Never seen the light with maths despite my Dad having a degree in it as well as physics. I seem to recall you being a huge fan of the subject. I don’t feel distorted by the lack of it in my life. Plenty of other stuff to enrich. Happy new year.

Without respect to mathematics, this was not about math (though I do think everyone should learn what the Laplace and Fourier transform really mean) many people spend their life seeking goals for reasons they never really identify with, they just assumed that was the goal because it seemed like a good answer or they were taught it was the right answer. When we try and match our lives to someone else's goals we lose out on something very valuable. Too many people live an entire lifetime without actually thinking for themselves where it matters most. Most people are mimicking someone else, there are very few original people out there. I haven't met one in person, (to include myself, ugh)... I think that's why I enjoy math and physics, it's easy to lose yourself in the abyss of complexity... it makes existence easier to take subjectively.
