This is a dark poem. One gets the sense that in death, we become nothing, and that death is meaningless in and of itself. There is no hope here, one must only curse the darkness. It smacks of despair, and to despair is to turn your back on God. That is not to say the poem itself is bad or without merit. Far from it. You express despair and bleakness quite well. But I would advise you not to spend too much time philosophy. A subject which encourages you to explore the meaning of everything only to conclude that everything is meaningless puts your sanity in jeopardy. Not to mention your soul. Keep writing poetry, though. In this world it is one of many saving graces!

You seem to harp on death... as if it is something imminent....and when you are dead, naturally you are lifeless, nothingness, colorless, forgotten, until the next cycle begins; death all over again, a meaningless state; you say time is timeless; that's because everything in your eyes in meaningless, disparity, so time is nothing, just like death which is also timeless. A complex poem, but needs a few reads to understand.
Thank you for sharing.
Best, B
We spend so much time thinking about our impending doom and yet it mostly arrives without notice to knock us out. No preamble, no singing and no meditating upon it. Death just makes us dead and the dead don't think, don't feel, don't see. Now is all we have. Perhaps, now is our eternity.

Oh, do you mind me asking who it is? Maybe a well known poet? I wondering if I've heard of them.
